'Mr. Robot' Gets its Own Mobile Game

The popular thriller series Mr. Robot now has a companion game app.

Dubbed Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltrati0n.ipa, the game kicks off with players finding a smartphone on the ground outside the Fun Society Arcade at Coney Island. Only this is no ordinary phone. Instead, it belongs to a black hat hacker named Darlene, "who's about to commit the biggest cybercrime the world has ever seen," and she wants it back.

From Telltale Inc, the game allows users to employ a messaging app to communicate with real characters from the show. Depending on what users say, the story will go in one direction or another.

"Make a choice then live with the far-reaching consequences in this hi-tech narrative drama driven by you," the app's description reads.

Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltrati0n.ipa comes as season two of Mr. Robot is airing on the USA Network. The Golden Globe Award-winning show stars Rami Malek as a computer programmer and hacker charged with taking down corporate America.

"Steal, cheat and lie your way through this technological minefield while dealing with Elliot's fractured personality, and trying to keep your own information safe," the app's description reads.

Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltrati0n.ipa is available now on iOS and Android for $2.99.
