Android 7.1.1 Developer Preview 2 is Live for Nexus 6P, 5X, and Pixel C (Updated)

Google just posted the Android 7.1.1 Developer Preview 2 files for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C! EDIT: Nexus 9 now too!

There are three ways to get the update to Android 7.1.1 developer preview 2 at this time. The first is through the Android Beta Program, which will allow Google to send the update to you over-the-air. If you don’t want to go that route, you can choose between flashing factory images or OTA .zip files found below.

The current 7.1.1 preview arrives as build NPF26F for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 9 (WiFi and LTE), and NPF26H for the Pixel C.

NOTE: The OTA files do not seem to be posted yet. Give Google a few minutes and I’m sure they will be live. The over-the-air beta rollout also has not gone live.

For instructions on how to flash factory images, hit up these instructions. For instructions on flashing OTA zip files, hit up these.

UPDATE:  At this time, we aren’t seeing much that is new, but Google did update the list of features to show that they have added “New Professional Emoji.” What are professional emoji? Google explains them as emoji that “represent a wider range of professions for women as well as men,” and that includes a variety of skin tones.

UPDATE 2: Google has now added the Nexus 9 to the fun!
