Xiaomi Mi Box Available Today for $69, Android TV With 4K and HDR

Xiaomi’s first US product, the Mi Box, launches today. Priced at $69, the Mi Box is an Android TV-powered set-top box, complete with 4K and HDR capability, as well as Google Voice Search and Google Cast built right in. 

For specs, the Mi Box packs a quad-core chip at 2.0GHz, Mali 450 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of flash storage, and runs Android TV 6.0. As for connectivity, there are ports for HDMI, USB, and SPDIF out. For wireless, Mi Box features 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band WiFi 2.4GHz and 5GHz, plus Bluetooth 4.0.

For people looking to find a less expensive Android TV solution than the NVIDIA SHIELD, or want to step up from the minimal Chromecast experience, the Mi Box may be a good fit. Xiaomi has a number accessories for the device, including a remote with Voice Search functionality, or a complete gaming controller.

You can purchase the Mi Box right now on Xiaomi’s website for $69, or wait to find it in a Walmart here in a few days. Those waiting for the Walmart option, Xiaomi’s Hugo Barra states it will be available online, as well as in-store.
