Sure, your tattoos look cool and all, but can they order pizza?
Thanks to Pizza, Hut, some people in the UK will soon be able to say yes to that question. The beloved pizza chain has invented what might be the most hipster thing ever: a temporary tattoo that can order pizza.
Metro.co.uk reports that the specially designed temporary tattoos—which look like cheesy pizza slices, obviously—will be available starting tomorrow in the UK. Just place it on your skin, scan it with your smartphone, and voila, your favorite pizza will arrive at your door or be ready for you to pick up in a jiffy.
The "world's first pizza ordering tattoo" works via Near Field Communications and a QR code. It's pre-programmed with your favorite type of pie, and knows your location, so when you tap your smartphone on the tattoo, Pizza Hut will get the message to start marking your order.
Apparently there will only be 40 to go around. If you want one, be sure to stalk Pizza Hut's Facebook page. For a peek at the pizza ordering tattoo, check out the video below.
Meanwhile, Pizza Hut has pulled some pretty tech-savvy marketing stunts in the past. This summer, the pizza chain debuted what it called "the world's first playable DJ pizza box," which can connect to a laptop or smartphone via Bluetooth and play music. Back in 2014, the company debuted a "subconscious menu" that can recognize which toppings you want, even when you don't know yourself.
