HTC Desire 530 Coming to the US

...

HTC's Desire 530 smartphone is coming to the US via T-Mobile and Verizon.

The 5-inch midrange device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and the 530's Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie functions allow for hands-free photography. The 8-megapixel rear shooter, meanwhile, boasts a built-in BSI sensor for increased light capture. Additional features like "burst shot" and "sweep panorama" make it easy to freeze movement and create landscape images. Users can then store pictures and videos in Google Photos.

The smartphone also comes with BoomSound and a high-quality amp for volume and bass without distortion.

Available in solid Blue Lagoon, Sprinkle White, or Stratus White colors, but the Desire 530 can also be customized with HTC's micro-splash—a speckle disbursement effect that ensures no two devices look the same (pictured).

The HTC Desire 530 will hit T-Mobile on July 13, available in Sprinkle White for $6.67 per month for 24 months ($159.99 total). A Verizon spokeswoman confirmed plans to offer the phone, but declined to provide PCMag with a launch date or price. HTC will also offer an unlocked version of the Sprinkle White model for $179 later this month.

HTC introduced its new range of Desire smartphones—530, 630, 825—during February's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
