Want to jazz up your Nexus device? Google's new Live Case program lets Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, and Nexus 6P owners customize their phone case for $35.
Choose between two variations: Photos Live Case lets you pick and print any photo (be sure to capture your cat's best side), while Places Live Case uses Google Maps to design a stylized version of your favorite location.
From there, consumers can add colored overlays, then finish the cover in a matte (available now) or glossy (coming soon) coating. As an added bonus, they come with companion live wallpaper on your phone's homescreen when you download the Live Case app.
The Photos Live Case, for instance, features a customizable picture slideshow; users determine which images to include, and how often they should advance. Opt for a Places Live Case, meanwhile, and you'll see your current location—in the same style as your cover—changing throughout the day.
Google's accessories also come with a built-in shortcut button for one-touch access to launch the phone's camera, open an app, or access nearby places of interest.
Following the success of Huawei's Nexus 6P in the US, the Chinese manufacturing giant recently said it is ready to work with Google again, perhaps with a toned-down EMUI skin for North American and European markets.
